Gayane Baghdasaryan is a distinguished conductor whose career spans more than three decades of choral artistry and leadership. A graduate of the Yerevan State Conservatory, where she earned both her Master’s and Ph.D./D.M.A. under the guidance of professor Tigran Hekekyan in Choral Conducting, she has united scholarship with performance at the highest level throughout her career.
Her work has encompassed serving as choirmaster of the Armenian Radio & TV Chamber Choir, appearing as a guest conductor in several countries abroad, and serving as President of the Armenian Conductors Association (ACCA). Her choirs have been recognized with top honors at national and international festivals.
Today, as Founder, Artistic Director, and Principal Conductor of the Haikian Chamber Choir, she continues to shape the future of choral music with vision and artistry, preserving heritage while inspiring new generations of singers and audiences.

Son of the renowned composer Khachatur Avetisyan, Maestro Avetisyan is an internationally recognized conductor whose career spans the world’s leading stages.
With a PhD in Opera-Symphony Conducting and a Master’s in Ethnomusicology, he has led prestigious ensembles including the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the National Radio Symphony Orchestra of Armenia, the Yerevan State Symphony Orchestra, and the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra. His artistry extends worldwide, with acclaimed performances and recordings alongside the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.
A conductor who believes in music’s power to bridge cultures, elevate marginalized voices, and speak across generations, Maestro Avetisyan has mentored young artists, championed new arrangements and lesser-known works, and dedicated himself to bringing music into the community, not just concert halls.
His artistic achievements have earned him recognition from the City of Glendale and County of Los Angeles, as well as national distinction as a featured conductor in the Bruno Walter National Conductors Preview with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.
Today, he continues his lifelong mission of music as a force for connection and cultural preservation.
